Odisha Private Engineering Schools’ Association (OPESA), a Registered Society established in the year 2005 under societies Act XXI of 1860, vide No.: 22064/45 has been constantly in the pursuit of making sustained effort for the holistic development of technical education in Orissa through its number of constituent member Engg. Schools/Polytechnics which has risen from 25 in the year 2007 to 77 by the year 2011. A state level organization with a constitution of its own and duly elected office bearers, OPESA is very much conscious of its social responsibilities. In its curriculum of activities, it has endorsed the overall development of technical education by monitoring the quality of education and functioning of the member institutes in consonance with the policies compatible to both the Government & the Polytechnics. The association is playing a significant role in the present scenario, when the state of Orissa is taking giant strides towards massive industrialization, which calls for preparing adequate number of technically qualified personnel in the base level. The role of OPESA in promoting a knowledge society that sustains humankind and its fundamental values is well acclaimed.
